You've expressed it so well and I agree with you so much.
This is what saddens me about this place. That if more people aligned to that principle "achieving their best and connecting to like-minds" the platform might have a real status about now.
That's why when a creator has interesting content I make sure to absorb it and then express my thoughts or at least appreciation.

Even once the payouts have long occurred,the content and the engagement become valuable beyond any dollar value. That's how I learned so much about steemit and hive. By digging deep into the posts where people were discussing things with passion.

On singularity I too wish it was that "time" already.
Our minds are not limited by that frame by frame (word by word) expression so I wish there was a Mind2MInd system where it would just beam to and from in instants.

There's a lot of good movies like Chappie and Bladerunner that capture that future well.
Those worlds too, the dystopian chaotic world is my dream world.
Not because I like chaos but because it's like a return to the wild.
A digital/mechanical wild at least.
Where corporate beasts are the dominant force and the (relatively) free and cunning play a game of cat and mouse to get by.

The movies I mentioned too have one thing which makes me wonder of that future.
That Love transcended and machines acquired an understand of it. The virtual love which the characters in bladerunner share is both tragic and beautiful. I lose myself in that movie.
There is so much power in a slow play where you connect with the experience of the character.
I love all movies with slow development. Either with little dialogue or very clever writing.
This brings it back to your point too. That this is what we need to achieve in order to navigate that future. Or else we are just cells, individually existing.

A thing which is in effect right now.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist but regardless of purpose.
It's just not good for people to be socially isolated.
So again, that's why that dystopian future where corporate is the beast and that the few who remained sharp will be able to navigate that world. Like a cat and mouse game.
I think that type of world again makes those human connection or connection in general so much more meaningful and necessary. 2020 and beyond looks to be that world.
