our shared destiny.

I really can't tell if this line is of joy of sadness but relating it to myself, following the past tense "seen", I'd say it's the same thing I thought of when I wasted my time with my ex, if only I could have seen the future, I wouldn't have been so consecrated knowing it'll crumble at the end of the day.
