Honestly, this makes a lot of sense. A cheaper property stops looking like a good deal once you start adding flood insurance, possible repairs, vacancy periods, and all the stress that comes with flooding. That “100-year flood” term really is misleading too, especially with how unpredictable the weather has become lately. Better to miss out on a house than end up stuck with a very expensive headache later on.
