Noise is a pollution and I really don't think anyone appreciates it as long as the ear is concerned. It's not felt by the maker but is felt by the hearer involved.
It's cacophony and we all know that cacophony isn't pleasant at all to the ear. It risks the eardrums and that shouldn't be taken lightly.
My little cousin once had exams in school and she was trying to study on her own in the living room when I turned on the TV and increased the volume a little. Honestly, I never knew my lady was studying.
She watched me for a while and walked up to me when she couldn't take it any longer just to preach how I'm being noisy and causing distractions. She had to recall all what her music teacher had taught her in school about cacophony and used all those terms on me.
Nobody advised me, I had to advise myself, turned off the TV and left the little girl's presence without saying a word. It was later when she was done with her studying she came to my room and asked me why I behaved like a hypnotized person back there.
I laughed for a while and told her that she had hypnotized me with all she said. Surprisingly she laughed so loud beating herself and feeling proud which was accompanied by freshly showered outburst of mirth.
What am I saying in essence? Noise is distracting and very annoying especially when one is either trying to sleep or study.
I have these very noisy neighbor's that seem to not care if they are disturbing the neighborhood or not. In my country you can't just sue a noise maker the way it pleases you if not, i'ld have filed a case against them long ago.
They are so lousy that at times I have to shut my windows if it could aid in reducing the noise. Usually when I get back from school, I'll need to rest, wake up and read but with such neighbours I find it difficult to do anything meaningful.
I had been forced to stay in school till late hours so at least I could study and so the nuisances would realize it's night and go quiet but surprisingly one night they were up and noisy. Playing music, clapping hands and shouting all over the place.
It got so annoying that my sister had to go warn them. They stopped for a few days and all of sudden went back to their vomit.
Now we just have to deal with it and ignore them. At times I leave the house just because of noises. Their nuisance is becoming a threat which is dropping in on us several times a day and it's not becoming funny at all.
My prayer now is that they move out soon because it's a bother and more of a threat to those around. I wonder how some humans are so ignorant of common knowledge even in this twenty-first century.
