RISC and CISC are the types of CPU architecture where RISC stands for Reduced Instruction Set Computer and CISC stands for Complex Instruction Set Computer.Basically RISC Architecture mostly used in Embedded devices like smartphone, tablets, smart watches,CCTVs ,etc while CISC is used in microcomputers CPU like, laptops and desktop.RISC is basically work on the concept that the instructions used in processor of device are simple or we can say that the size of single instruction is small but number of instructions needed to perform a single operation are much more .While in opposite direction,CISC basically work on the concept of Complex Instructions i.e. for a single operation number of Instructions needed are less but each and every single instruction will be more complicated and large also. This is the reason that RISC based processor are used in Embedded systems and CISC based processor are used in microcomputers and also because of simple instructions time required for completing one instruction is less in RISC and due to Complex Instruction time required for completing one instruction is large in CISC.There are two popular companies work on developing processor chips based on RISC and CISC which are ARM and INTEL respectively.
The most popular chipset of ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) is the Apple ARM family which are used in apple devices like iPhone,iPad ,etc. While the most popular processor are x86 family of Intel which are used in almost every laptops in market.
Most interesting fact is that apple recently launches its new iPhone X on 12th of September 2017 which uses the processor Apple A-11 which is the latest version of ARM (RISC based CPU)

While Intel also introduced their latest processors from x86 family i.e. Intel core i5 and i7 which are CISC based

So guys I think you got a little more information about processors and I'm really happy to share my 1st technical post with steemit.
Thank you guys for being with me and tell me about this post in comments....
So stay tuned, and love technology...... Good Bye!!!
