A few days back, my mama requested me to cut her hair because it has grown longer and she feels uncomfortable because it's usually hot and humid here. Since the pandemic started, I usually give her a haircut. I'm used to cutting my own hair, but she trusted me enough to cut hers. The first time was kind of scary but it turned out quite well.
Because of that, she bought me a small kit for cutting hair and became her personal hairdresser. hahaha Since it's Saturday now, I decided to take a day off from work and granted her request.
I actually forgot to take a before photo, so the "before" photo you see above is already a bit trimmed. Perhaps I've already cut around 2-3 inches of hair already.
She really likes "octopus" kind of hair style, so I usually do that style on her hair. I actually just learned from watching some tutorials on YouTube. It's kind of fun, though. ^^
Here are my cute little tools for this temporary career. hahaha Having them made cutting my mama's hair so much easier compared to using my bandage scissors. lol
Ahh.. it's so pretty. I actually really liked the result... mama did, as well. I like how volume of her hair looks like because of the layers. It's so much better than the last haircut I gave her. Guess you really improve as time pass by.
I was also able to finish cutting her hair faster than last time, so it's indeed an improvement. And because of that, I decided to give myself a favor and cut my hair as well.
My hair had also gotten long and had some split ends and really dry part (the part with highlight, but can't be seen in the before picture. lol) Anyway, I have gotten rid of it, so only my natural hair color is seen. I also added a side fringe because I want to tie my hair without showing my whole round face. hahaha
Ahahaha.. at least a part of it is covered. I can now do this hair style when working. I really like having a fringe and its been a while since I had one. So, I'm pretty happy about it. ^^
I had to take out my foam/bed out so we could use my room. I just covered the floor with this, so it's easier to clean afterwards. :) I also took the opportunity to clean my room earlier today.
It was indeed a productive Saturday for me. I'm just relaxing tonight. I'm still not sure whether I should work tomorrow or not. We'll see. Anyway, how was your Saturday? I hope you had a great one!
