Since I lost my cats, I've been looking for suitable pet for my home and I've been considering man's best friend, dogs, for so many reasons but mostly, for security reasons. I understand going a dog whose breed is known for guarding and security may cost quite alot but with the situation of things in neighbourhood and country to be general, I think I may have to settle for a security dog.
This is my friend's female boerboel and he wants to give me a puppy soon as a pet but I'm still considering which breed to settle for.
I'm hoping I'd get a new pet before December and probably look for a trainer as well before although I spoke to a Vet friend of mine who told me about the pros and cons of each available breeds. I prefer dogs that grow really large and can be well trained (especially in the security and the pooing area). But for security, I was advised by my vet friend to go for either a German Shepherd, a Rottweiler, a dobberman.
Well, I still got about a month to decided which breed I should settle for. Do you have/had a security dog and what are your thoughts? Please feel free to let me know your thoughts on the comment section. Thank you.
