First of all, Happy New Year Lions!!!! It's a bittersweet feeling here because 2022 was ayear of much happenings all around the world and I'm just so grateful and thankful that I'm still here and grinding with you all. For my first post of the year, I'd like to share a few financial lessons I learnt the previous year and I find valuable and maybe helpful to you my dear readers. 2022 had so much impact on finances both in a good and bad way, but overall, I'd say I'm glad I know what I know now and this will help shape my life for better.
Invest More In People and Opportuinities
Investing in a slowly process and not many people like that and this is why the gambling is such a big one. Most people want quick and fast money not realising the fact that most great things take time to build and when it comes to finance, it pays to not only invest in Opportuinities that could improve our finances in the future but also investing in people with potentials and hunger for success. I learnt to invest more in both people and opportuinities because at the end of the day, these investments are all we would have left and would save us when we need them the most.
Save For The Raining Days.
This year was a pretty tough one, I mean we had so many situations that could have sent many of us back to our villages but I'm glad many of them were situations we could tackle. One of the lessons I learnt though was that having some money saved somewhere and not spending all you've earned will save you in times of emergencies. There were so many situations I got involved in and thankfully I had some money saved else I don't know what would've happened and those situations would've been pretty bad for me.
Diversify;
To be honest, diversification paid alot of my bills this year and I'm going hard on it the coming year. Even when crypto was crashing hard, there were other places I could make money from and that's something I'm truly grateful for because I saw how tough this year was particularly for some of my friends who had fully depended on one sources of income that went bad.
Health is wealth:
This might not appear much like a financial lesson but trust me, it is. I went to the general hospital some weeks ago to get some goods from a client and when I heard about many health situations at the hospital that people would pay any amount of money to feel good again, I became more grateful and thankful I had no health issues and took my health more seriously. I ate more healthy foods, worked out and exercised more and also try my best to live a healthy lifestyle. Good health is definitely our greatest asset and is priceless and that is one lesson I'd be holding onto for life.
Once again, I'm thankful for the new year and I hope it brings us all goodness and greatness. Happy New Year!!!
