This is a beautiful landscape with a row of coconut trees along the shore of a back water body. In the far end, lush green field mostly occupied by vegetable garden is visible.
Coconut farming flourishes in the brackish water region close to the sea. In Kerala almost all houses have a bunch of coconut tree.
It is considered auspicious, because coconut is offered in all Hindu rituals and Puja as a sacred fruit. The tree has the special quality, it absorbs brackish water, which is little salty and offers sweet water in return full of nutritious value.
