We try to understand each day what we have to live. From the moment we open our eyes to each new dawn, until we close them, to embrace our pillow in the tranquility of sleep. We always look for answers to existence. We reproach our faults and in some opportunities, we are very hard for not having the courage and boldness in certain moments. However, we continue walking on the paths of our destiny, thinking that if we change our route, we lose the signs we believe, God and providence have placed us, to continue on the path of a supposed spiritual and material well-being.
But after so much walking, we stop abruptly and turn 180 degrees. We put our hands to our foreheads, to avoid the intensity of the shadows and to see what we have left behind us. We try to understand that route. There are many who think that the past was a continuous learning, to justify life; others feel it as a heavy burden tied from the back to the ankles, which prevents them from taking off towards that promising future. But there are other people who experience having lived intensely, with their successes and mistakes, which have left a great lesson in life and have turned them into the human beings they are today.
Perfect, everything sounds very good, but you have to ask several questions. When does our life begin? What stage of our existence is actually the peak moment of our passage through the earth? Childhood, where does fantasy predominate over reality? Adolescence, in which the hormonal prevails over the rational? Youth, in what energies and beauty deprive feelings? The adult stage, where the essence take the first place, without losing some strength of our freshness, but without stopping with banalities to justify our shortcomings? Or the last stage, the one that we always forget but one day we reach, old age. Our golden years, so noble, that give us as an advantage all a subsistence to achieve it. Old age, where reflection and the gift of the word prevail, in which our knowledge has decided to become wise, in which we appreciate life for giving us the opportunity to have lived it.
Before all this, we ask ourselves again: what have we experienced? Do we measure it for what we will leave once we have left? And we, when do we know that in truth, when we stop and take a breath of air, we feel how beautiful it is to live? Or simply, why do we value it for our economic, personal or professional successes? Or in the time that we stop in our long career of resistance with obstacles, we feel the inner peace that gives us that strength that makes us indestructible in the face of adversity and soft towards feeling? And we keep asking ourselves, when is it really known that he is alive? Some will say that in each moment with its different stages, it is when life is felt. It is a good observation. Others, clinging to the immaterial, will explain it when the balance between being and the universe is reached. Another acceptable option. But we must go further. You live, when you know that your existence is valuable. That you feel that every moment is the moment. That every day is the day of your life. Where you fight to believe that reality is a continuous change, to improve. That we are passing through this world, to offer a word, a look, a smile and a caress to the people around us, to leave our legacy. And above all, in believing that we are the only ones who can change our destiny, that we do not need to look beyond our sensations and that solutions have the extension of our arms and the strength of our soul. No need to probe the explanations in tarot cards, or stars, or angels. Our uncertainties will not be answered through a crystal, or to seek our redemption through aromatic salts. Our fears do not dissipate with numerology, reading the snuff or the coffee eraser or because someone is transported to I do not know where and talk to I do not know who, to give us the answers and so scare away our fears.
No, life is to face and face the present, without forgetting the past, to build a better future. It is knowing that we are what we are, because we can change our environment. Courage, determination, boldness, leaves our spirit. You have to believe in one as a factor of change. That is to live intensely and not suffer to seek answers to the fear that we have to death.
