" How can we turn something as ugly as air pollution into something as useful as ink? " Graviky Labs has found a revolutionary solution to this problem. Inspired by the words of Mr. Buckminster Fuller (famous architect, inventor and philosopher), “Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting ”, MIT graduate Anirudh Sharma has been working for the last 3 years with his team at Graviky Labs to make something useful from the polluted air and they came out with the idea of Air Ink.

How Its Made -

The Air Ink is made from unburnt carbon particles called Soot, which is present in the air coming out from the exhaust pipes, chimneys and generators.

This Soot is collected using a cylindrical device named Kaalink which is attached to the mouth of exhaust pipe.

The Soot then undergoes various chemical processes to remove heavy metals and carcinogens. The purified carbon is mixed in solvents to get the Air Ink.

Kaalink can capture enough amount of soot in 45 minutes so that one ounces of fluid ink can be made.

"Every stroke on the paper with this ink will remind you of the dust particles that you might have breathed while you were walking outdoors " said Anirudh in an interview. If this project is a success and comes to market then problem as big as Air Pollution would reduce to a great extent.
