introduction post
Latest update "v1.4 Philips hue intergration"
Contribution details
The current interface came together while developing Blinkit. The interface mockups are made to explorer a new interface for Blinkit.
Benefits
The mockups will be used for the development of the new interface. With the new interface the goal is to make things more user friendly.
Functions for the supported products; USB sticks, Philips hue, Sonoff, and others. only become visible when the related buttons are clicked by the user. a fresh colored clear interface, and easy to recognize icons should also help to further improve the ease of use of Blinkit.
The challenge for the interface was to make things simple, everybody should be able to use Blinkit with there USB stick, but it also needs to display the more advanced features and products Blinkit have to offer and can work with.
Current Interface:
New Interface mockups:
Main screen for USB flash notification, when the gear icon is clicked the settings screen is displayed.
Blinkit supports up to 3 USB sticks to be used simultaneously, these are the settings screens for the 3 sticks.
Arduino screen and Arduino settings screens.
(Arduino hardware is not yet supported)
Philips hue screen and it's settings screen.
Sonoff screen and and it's settings screen.
3 x 9 tiles to house the current functions and it can be used for future functionality. The tiles can be switched by pressing the 3 orbs underneath the 9 tiles.
Steem introduction text to get people outside of steem that are using blinkit for non-steem related things introduced to what Steem and Steemit is. Sound settings screen and Blinkit about screen.
Used Tools
To make the mockups i used Adobe Illustrator but if you would want to make something similar with free tools, you could also use for example Paint.net or Gimp
Download the files
The interface mockups can be downloaded as a vector file from the Blinkit Github page.
