Today I decided to dip my toe into the cannabis farming simulator world and the blockchain game HashKings.

HashKings is a P2E blockchain game in which you take to role of a cannabis farmer. You’ll gather water, acquire seeds, gain access to growing lands and plant and harvest buds and make joints to earn a profit.

Personally I love farming games. There’s something about living rurally and growing things speaks to me, and being able to combine a very promising farming game with a profitable token economy and NFT market is something that I’ve gotten quite excited about.

I’m a brand new farmer with little to no clue about the game, and I’m in the research phase of deciding what I’m going to focus on in HashKings.

What Is My HashKings Roll?

The blockchain game HashKings has a complex and interesting economy with many different roles to fulfill and ways to earn. Here’s a short description of the most prevalent and distinct roles that you can aim to fulfill.

Farmers is the backbone of the economy and are focused on the production of BUDS. This is the most active in-game role. To get started with this role you’ll need a few land plots and a bunch of seeds along with water for watering the seeds. BUDS can be sold for profit or used to craft consumables.

Seed Producers are responsible for minting new Seeds. These seeds are then sold to farmers who’ll use them for planting. To me this sounds like the most passive in-game role, but I cannot yet say for sure.

Land Barons are the owner of land in HashKings. Land plots are used for growing Seeds on, and land plots can be rented out to farmers for a profit.

Water Barons are the owners of Water Tower NFTs. These Water Towers produce all the water that’s needed by farmers to water their Seeds.

All these roles interact in a very well thought out fashion, and you don’t actually choose a permanent role that you’re stuck with. The roles are simply words used to describe your focus, and are only dependent on the NFTs you own and how you make your money.

Getting Started!

To get started with HashKings I decided to pick up some Water (HKWATER) and some BUDS on the Hive-Engine.

I also bought one plot of South American land. This is the cheapest and strictly worst land you can own.

I also bought a few Seeds, the cheapest available South American seeds on the market.

I then planted and watered my first HashKings Seed, a Panama Red. I consider this my first HashKings milestone.

Currently I have basically no knowledge about the different roles, tokens, and NFTs, so I’m not claiming that I’ll make great decisions, and I might change my approach at any time.

Now I’ll dive into a bit of research and all the different ways to be engaged with HashKings.
