Hi guys how are you all? I hope you are doing great. Today I’m back with another new and interesting Splinterlands monster review.
In this post I’m going to talk about Surgehammer
. It is a Rare Water monster from the Conclave Arcana Reward Set. Surgehammer is a very versatile monster. It is a 6 mana melee monster that can work as both a damage dealer and a support unit.
At max level this card has 3 melee attack 4 speed 3 armor and 7 health. These are really solid stats for a 6 mana monster. Because of its relatively low mana cost you can use it in many different low mana battles which is a big advantage.
Surgehammer belongs to the Djinn bloodline.
Its combination of attack armor and health gives it good survivability while its speed also gives it a chance to avoid physical attacks.
This monster has four main abilities.
The first ability is Flying.
This ability gives Surgehammer a chance to dodge attacks from enemy monsters that don't have Flying. This can be very useful in the Earthquake ruleset because Surgehammer has a chance to avoid the Earthquake damage.
The second ability is Opportunity
and this is probably one of the most important offensive abilities on this card. Instead of attacking the monster in the first position Surgehammer targets the enemy monster with the lowest health.
This makes it very useful for finishing off weakened enemies.
The third ability is Cleanse
which unlocks at Level 4. Cleanse removes negative effects from the allied monster in the first position. This becomes very useful when your frontline tank is suffering from debuffs.
When Surgehammer reaches its maximum level it gets another ability called Repair.
Repair restores armor to the allied monster whose armor has taken the most damage. This gives Surgehammer a genuine support role in addition to its offensive abilities.
The special thing about Surgehammer is that you can use it in different ways. You can use it as an attacker because of its melee damage and Opportunity ability. At the same time you can also use it as a support monster because of its Cleanse and Repair abilities.
For example imagine your tank is taking heavy damage and has some negative effects on it. Surgehammer can attack weakened enemy monsters while also helping your frontline by removing its debuffs and repairing its armor.
Overall in my opinion Surgehammer is a very well rounded Water monster. Its 6 mana cost makes it quite reasonable to fit into many different teams and it offers a really nice combination of offense defense and support.
So that's all for today's post. I hope you found this review helpful and interesting. Thanks for reading and I'll see you in the next post. Until then goodbye!
