What a successfull adventure we had with the antique shops!
In truth I didn't think it was going to be as entertaining as it was last year. I say this because one doesn't expect the places to be changed up and to have different stuff. I genuinely thought we would just be strolling through the same old stuff!
Well it was the same old stuff but somehow it felt different! Perhaps I just looked at it in a very different way!
Thinking about it now I don't even think we went through all of the antique shops at all. We went through two of them and both of them were pretty big, but I suppose we have to leave some adventures for next year ey!
Me and the Betty ready for the adventure of old!
I remember when I was a young lad and I mean very young my parents would drag us along to the shops of old! Oh how me and my sister despised it back in the day!
Heck I wouldn't want to see both me and my sister in one of these shops now, if we'd have the money to buy everything we likely would have! A lot of crap that we would never use but furniture! Oh the furniture is one thing I have learned to admire a great deal!
Especially those Oregon wood tables and cupboards!
One never really knows the value of things when you're a little kid running around with snot dripping out of your nose!
My father once bought a Oregon cupboards for R50 and the seller even offered to remove all the old glossy paint from it! We still have that cupboard and it looks amazing!
If I was to buy that same cupboard now I'd pay about R3500 at minimum for it!
Our parents really lived in the golden age of life where everything started developing and where everything was still cheap as f*@k!
Some old baking powder cans that I really want but have no use for!
The plan for today?
I hardly know myself!
The cloudy weather is really getting on my nerves now! It feels like you don't want to do anything at all. I mean we can still do everything except go to the beach but I want to go to the beach!
Not today though!
I think we might have some breakfast and chill around for a while and depending on how things go we might head out to do some "Wine Tasting!" At-least this time I know I can do the "Wine Tasting!"
I'm not a big drinker of wine but I do want that experience! I sure as hell hope no one asks me any questions about the wine, because hell I wont know how to answer those!

After the day we went for a coffee at The Blue Shed and read some books!
