Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
In the last episode of Rust I did some wild running around but that is about 905 of the game so we can't really complain about that now can we! While I was running around looting the roads and the monuments I decided that I wanted to do a run of the Airfield which I've been putting of for quite some time now because I didn't have the Blue Key Card for the Blue Room.
The scavenging run went fairly good to say the very least! I didn't encounter any players (Which I somewhat have mixed feelings about because it is always nice to run into someone, whether they mean good or bad it's a fun situation trying to figure out the motives of the other person!) and the run itself was more than fruitful until the very end of it though!
I made my way to the Harbor side where I knew for a fact that I would come down on a Blue Key Card in the Green Room. I did by the way but as soon as I left the Harbor which was on the edge of the snow biome I ran into a damned frikkin polar bear! The funny part is I didn't even see him as I ran straight towards him! Unbelievable right and that in a game that I used to rock! It would have been fine if I ran into a player and he bashed my head in but no, I had to die at the paws of a white bear!
With everything said up above I am not quite certain if my base still exists in the game, it's been a few days since I was online last and my very last recording was also a few days ago. So after this post I'll log back on and hope for the best xD!
Damn I'm Still Stacked!
The last time I logged off I didn't even bother sorting everything into where it needs to go, after that bear mauled me to bits I just wanted to grab the gear (Which I thought would be looted without a doubt! But it wasn't) and get back to base as fast as I possibly could! Avoiding any and all monuments at all costs!
Therefor logging back in I had some housekeeping to do before a man could go out and hunt!
Out Into The Woods!
We go there where the scary things happen at night!
Laughs I'm just kidding but that in it self is questionable within this game! After I did some tidying up around the base it got dark and it got dark real fast! Now since the Airfield is in the snow biome running it at night isn't the best idea with what gear I currently have. After all I mean this radiation suit is meant to keep out radiation and not the cold!
So to kill the time I did some farming, farming that might or might not have kept my base standing until tonight! That or the base was already thrown with some boom boom!
So out into the woods I went to farm some wood and ore!
It looks damn beautifull aswell!
Just me beating up a rock with a jack-hammer! Farming those nodes for the boom boom I will never reach!
This right here is what night looks like in the game.
Oh and be sure to know this is the good part of the night, when it gets dark it really gets dark out here and when it gets dark and you're out and about with nothing that brings light you can catch yourself in some schetchy situations!
When the wolves and bears come out prowling there's not really anything you can do because you can't see jack shit and well you're getting mauled by wild animals!
Sounds like real fun hey!
Workbench Level 2 Achieved!
Okay I didn't get a full view picture of it because honestly I didn't even think about that, but getting a level two workbench is actually quite something especially after considering the fact that oyu can only push it up till level three so I did something right!
The workbenches let's you craft more superior weapons and tools along with some explosives and stuff, which means you can blow deeper into someones base or you can pack a harder punch onto somebody or you can resist the hard pack somebody else is punching towards you!
The workbenches is what makes you progress in the game, well that and the fact that you have to grind for what you want!
Prepped Out For The Run.
Running the Airfield isn't really all that big of an achievement but with that said it is in-fact one of the bigger monuments to run which gives you a great deal more value in the loot you can grab.
There's a few things that you absolutely must have!
Firstly and most importantly enough clothing for you to be able to resist both the cold and the radiation! The radiation being the worst of it.
You will also need to have both the Green Key Card and the Blue Key Card to do this run along with two fuses. You need the Green Key Card because the Blue Room is located inside the Green Room. Can't have one without the other right!
If anything you must have that at the very least!
Then for me personally having a weapon is preferred because it is after all a monument and those attract all of the players but with no players around you still have to kill some scientists that might want to put you into the ground at all costs!
Well the last you've got to have a bandage or twenty or a few jabbing health sticks (Yeah I can't remember what it is called, perhaps a stimpak laughs!)
Dreams Can Die Real Fast!
On my way to the Airfield I ran into a player named Oxide (A cool name by the way!) Now he didn't kill me which I am very gratefull for, actually sounds like a real nice guy! Anyways there was a crate in the Airfield and when there is a crate you should know there to be a player or three!
I didn't care much for the crate I just wanted to do the run on the Airfield and after all I did grind so hard for me to be able to do the run and now these oaks are busy with the crate.
Needless to say I left them be and went around the long way!
I've waited long enough and I've started to make my way back to the Airfield player or not! I was kind of hoping for a player but to be honest I haven't had a proper gunfight in this game in like years! So expecting to kill a player really shouldn't be on the top of my list right!
But run it I will!
After finding myself on the Airfield grounds my heart immediately went into overdrive pumping that adrenaline through the veins! I haven't felt this feeling in so long and damn it feels pretty amazing! It reminds me a lot of my DayZ days! We played that game until the sun came shining out!
Now I just need to kill the raider that wants to kill me!
Down Below In The Bunkers!
After adding the fuses into the breaker up top in the main Airfield building and switching the breaker on I ran as fast as I could to get down below into the bunkers before the fuse I had blew! I didn't want to run all the way back just for a simple fuse!
Needless to say this was so much fun! I took my time going through the bunker because I didn't have any idea how many scientists were held up inside of it so just running around corners was a no go! Lucky for me you can hear them speaking over there radios!
Now I just need to sweep the place and come out alive on the other side and a little richer!
