Apple offers to listen to audiobooks in iBooks. If you do not want to put up with the import shocks and limited support for formats, then definitely try BookPlayer. A free player for audiobooks was created by a team of independent developers who focused on the simplicity and convenience of the application.
BookPlayer can play audiobooks in M4B, M4A and MP3 formats. You can import files in three ways: via iTunes, by AirDrop or from iCloud Drive, Dropbox and other applications that support this feature. It is most convenient to use the cloud or, if you have a Mac, copy files by AirDrop.
