The weekly @techcoderx Hive witness update log is back after a month since the fork happened. Have been very busy (than usual) in the last few weeks, and probably will in weeks to come.

So here are all the updates (some of the most important ones) in the Hive witness world.

Breaking into top 100 ranks

Nothing new since it happened a few days after the fork, but I have never mentioned it in any of my posts since then, so I shall do it now 😉

It took me 4 months since I started my witness node and campaigning, followed by a Hive fork to achieve this. Right now I'm hovering between rank 91 and 96, which yields me 2.6 blocks per day. A huge thank you to those who voted for me, as this would not be possible without your witness votes!

Finally breaking even!

Thanks to the recent Hive pump in the last few days, my witness has successfully breakeven-ed, of all the costs it took to run my witness for the first 5 months at a loss.

Looks like I'm finally running it at a profit, for now until we see a retracement of HIVE near soon.

Development updates

There have been a lot of development on Hive since the fork, but let's talk about mine 😄

Lately, I have been working with polishing the @onelovedtube uploader, with 2 updates being pushed out since the previous update log. Pricing structure has been changed completely, added resumable uploads API and Skynet uploads. For those who missed it, the latest one can be read here. I also added full Hive support to DTube UI some time ago in a pull request here, which most of you are probably aware of.

In the next few weeks I will be rebooting the development of a Hive hardware wallet app for Ledger wallets (repository here), and will update once I get it to return the correct signature, which is where I'm currently stuck at.

RAM usage: 7.04 GB

You may notice that RAM usage have fallen since the previous report, that's because I had to replay due to a crash, and my node got less traffic since I removed Hivemind due to lack of disk space.
