so one of the things that any content creator is going to be confused about when you get here is this ecosystem that runs alongside you posting blog posts and that is earning steem, steem power, and steem dollars. you can find much better breakdowns, including technical specs regarding when and how you receive them, this video is not that. this is more about a little guide to how at the basic level steem can be powered up to steem power to get better curation rewards and how I use steem dollars to eventually send out to an exchange (like block trades.us) to get into another cryptocurrency wallet like bitcoin - I use a selection including bitpay, cryptopay and on desktop I use exodus wallet.

think of this of a little bit of a Vulcan mind meld of what to do with those figures when you see them in your wallet - personally i would give it three to six months of blogging on steemit before you even bother playing around with these things and just let them build up, push all your posts for 100% power up and get those curation rewards THEN look at it six months from now and decide what to do, re-invest, take a slice out, invest in other steemian users and what they have to offer via #steemgigs, whatever really. once you realize the power of this community and network you won't look back! :)
