brand new product/redesign from the foundation and it's kind cool for lots of different reasons but an absolute purchase for someone building out for instance a decent CCTV system along with the IR cameras for instance -- i love the sizing different and that cost you cannot argue with.
64-bit 1.4GHz quad core processor, 512MB of RAM, fast dual-band 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 4.2
also remember that as i far as i know the heartbleed style of CPU hacks against intel/amd processors are uneffected on these arm chips -- i'd probably go for like a 3b+ if your gonna make a simple desktop backup but these are great for everything else.
