i don't know about you but when i'm researching using another markdown editor i do my best to see what's out there, often times it really just comes down to feature set and what i'm able to get more than other piece of software -- i found another minimal one today, i really like this, super simple, everythin gets outta the way and you can just write your stuff out.
Left is a distractionless writing tool with auto-complete, synonyms, writing statistics, markup navigation and a speed-reader.
it's incredible that people write these things for free so i think that if you do end up using this make sure to send them some money for using it -- love the minimal vibes!
