HELLO hivers❤️❤️❤️, long time no see 😊,its been long i posted here on hive, have been doing alot errands and also checking out some new stuffs like the NFT GAMES.
Today i decide to share a little painnting of KRATOS i did last year , though i did not finish it but i insisted to just post it where i stopped cause i don't know what to add again. i used a reference for this from the GOD OF WAR game.

so i want to share the process now and share a little description about it.

  1. THE SKETCHING

so i used a reference to outline out kratos pose .

b1.jpg
so i used the reference image i got from pinterest to draft out the sketch .

  1. BACKGROUND

So immediately after the sketch the next step was to create a background.
the initial idea i had was to create a smoky or cloudy background texture , but letter chaged my mind towards that , u get to find out what i later did in the next steps.

3.###### FILLING IN THE BODY
so after the background the next thing was to paint in the body using the grayscale style ,which sounds great to me cause the style reduces the stress of painting in the colours later.

so after painting in the body the next step is to add,

  1. LIGHTING AND SHADING
so here comes one of the interesting part lighting and shading , after the painting little shading and lighting is added to the work to give it a solid look and also add values to the work.

note:- the tatoo was drawn separately on another layer using a clipping mask.

1. EFFECTS

after the whole lighting and shading the next step is adding the FLAME effects ,at the background , here i decided to change the background into flaming effect in other to make the drawing pop.

b11.jpg
i used the AIR brush for the painting of the flame .

5.COLOR

so here is the last step to this painting which is the color and it was archived by setting the layer for coloring to overlay over the finished grayscale layer which makes the color not require toning caused the grayscale will control that.

so this is how i archieved the KRATOS PAINTING.
am sorry if my explanations are not clear enough and will do well to explain more better..

if you really come this far thank you so much❤️
