Are you a believer or an unbeliever? I guess the first question should be, "What's your definition of a believer?" Most see the question from the standpoint of being a believer in the context of religion. For the most part from my experience, when you are asked if you are a believer or not leans more towards a believer in Jesus Christ. From the standpoint of The Academy of Vivid Imagination, we choose to go deeper in understanding. Is there a right and a wrong? ABSOLUTELY NOT! In my heart of hearts choosing right or wrong puts you into a position of judgement. Going back to a believer in Jesus Christ, that would mean that "My God, or Creator" would be the only entity who sits in a place of judgement. Judgement in and of itself, has a negative connotation to it.
The Academy of Vivid Imagination was founded on the basis of positivity. I choose to believe that dream stealers have no place in anybodies lives. I understand that outside opinions based on the knowledge of a person may have some merit. However, I have seen where if you encourage people in their dreams and give them the opportunity to see if the dream is really their dream or not, yields better results. From the dreamers standpoint, there is better acceptance of outside opinions if the opinion comes from a place of positivity.
I believe that Jesus Christ was a man who existed and was on this planet to teach people that they inherently have the same power within themselves, that He went around the countryside performing. I also believe that He was crucified because the powers that be, knew He had influence over the people and they were losing their slaves if they let Him continue to do what He was doing. Do I believe in God? I believe in a Creator. Why would I put limitations in an entity that is infinite? Is that deep enough for you?
Back on track quickly! My encouragement to you is to follow your heart, especially when it comes to your dreams. I truly without a doubt believe that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the grave, is inherently in our DNA. I also believe with all my heart that no matter how big and scary your dream is, you have been equipped, by your creator, and with the universe on your side, have everything you need to make your unrealized reality, reality.
