Oakland - Golden States Warriors successive series of stoppages finally stalled. This was after the Warriors were subverted by the Denver Nuggets.
In the game held at ORACLE Arena on Sunday (24/12/2017) morning WIB, Warriors certainly more favored considering they play in their own headquarters.
But the Nuggets were able to surprise in the first quarter when a 22-20 thin lead. Entering in the second quarter, the Nuggets pulled away by making 31 points versus 21 points to close the first half of the game with 53-41.
In the third quarter, Warriors tried to catch up but still difficult to keep up with the Nuggets game. In the end the Nuggets kept the score in the fourth quarter and closed it with a 96-81 victory.
For the Warriors, this is the first defeat after winning eleven previous games or seventh this season. With a 26-7 record, the Warriors are second in the Western Conference by 26-7.
Shown as top performers Nuggets are Nikola Jokic with 18 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Jokic sustained Gary Harris who made 19 points.
In the Warriors camp there is Kevin Durant with 18 points, six rebounds, and one assist. The absence of sick Stephen Curry put the defending champions on hold. Klay Thompson made 15 points followed by Draymond Green with 10 points.
From the Eastern Conference, Boston Celtics strengthened the position at the top after the 117-92 win over the Chicago Bulls. Kyrie Irving again stands out with 25 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Celtics record this season is 27-9.
