"My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, will not fail from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your children, nor from the mouth of the children of your children," said the Lord, from now on and always "Isaiah 59:21.
Did you know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, grew up in Nazareth, but was in Capernaum, where he planted His ministry and called His city? He did it this way, because in this small town of Galilee they listened to him for days, they wanted to hear him, to touch him and they crowded to see him, they were hungry for Him!
Likewise, God wants to place His Spirit among us, is looking for a place where He finds refreshment, one in which He can rest, stay and settle down; a place that like Capernaum, He can call: "His city".
Therefore, if you want the Spirit of God not only to pass through your place, but He may dwell and be able to rest there, you must know that He inhabits where they hunger for Him, love Him and desperately desire Him. Capernaum means the city of "naum", the city of consolation, and that is what God wants to do with your life, with your house and with your church, which is like capernaum, a place of consolation.
The Holy Spirit only reposes where His friends are.
Do you want to be a friend of God? Look at what He says to you today: "You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I will no longer call you servants, because the servant does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, because all the things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you "John 15: 14-15.
Listen to Him alone, do not get used to His presence and you will make His Spirit dwell with you, in the house of His friends.
