Good morning today I will share some photos on the Harbor walk here in New Bedford

its a nice walk, a total 2.6-mile out-and-back along it and one I often walk

I will share a little about it after this first photo
its an easy walk as it is flat well apart from getting up on to it so starting with the sntrance to the walk

The New Bedford Harbor Walk sits atop the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier on East Rodney French Boulevard. The hurricane barrier is said to be the longest in the world – and now, locals can enjoy its spectacular panorama while walking, jogging, and biking along this paved, elevated path
It is quite popular I often see people walking on this and the other similar one here the Cove walk, not so many in the early morning when I first get there but after the sun rises more people come out walking and riding

The Harbor Walk is the best place to see New Bedford’s unique mix of natural and man-made wonders. From up here, the views seem endless: look for landmarks like East Beach, Fort Taber, Butler Flats Lighthouse, Fort Phoenix, Palmers Island, the Port of New Bedford, and the sparkling waters of Buzzards Bay. Ferries and fishing vessels steam in and out of the harbor, passing through the narrow opening in the barrier just beyond the harbor walk’s end.
