New Bedford Armory
the other morning I decided to go for a walk in an area I had seen some classic grand houses and got shots of a few but as I was wondering around I came across this building and had to get a few shots of it, it isn't far from my house but I am fairly sure I had never driven down this street and saw it

It is called the New Bedford Armory and was built in as you can see a gothic castle like design in 1904.
This Armory is one of the two remaining as such in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
It had perhaps quite appropriately hosted the national guard for many years
it was declared surplus property by the state in 2003 and apparently was let to run down quite a bit.
from reading online apparently the city made a deal with the State to buy it for $10 in 2022 and the state agreed to carry out 3 Million in repairs a good portion of that on repairing the damaged roof.
furthermore it seems the city has made a deal with a developer to convert this buildings into apartments will be interesting to see how that goes, living in it could be quite cool I think.
it was in the past used for community exhibits and shows. Was featured as having ghosts in TV program about Paranormal, which perhaps could put off some people from wanting to rent an apartment there.
Speaking of haunted houses I have heard there are quite a few properties here supposedly haunted some that have bene featured on paranormal TV shows which gives me two thoughts, which ones are they and I shouldget photos of them

and secondly,
would hearing a property is haunted put you off buying or renting it?

And still thinking about it being haunted, I am regretting I did not edit one of these photos in a Moody B&W style
