Fire in the sky

For this post I am sharing some fairly recent photos taken with my New Camera the A7iv, instead of digging through my archives of photos from last year.
This was on a morning walk I took as the sun was rising on Popes Island here in New Bedford

It was a little chilly the morning I took this walk and caught these images, and there was a fair bit of ice around so wasn't a fast walk as I had to watch my step but Mother Nature did grace me with a glorious sunrise, what I tend to call a fire in the sky sunrise.

This first image is looking across the water to the Fairhaven Skyline

this next shot is looking in the same direction you can see some of the snow and ice on the ground and the dock

Zooming in a bit to highlight some of the skyline across in Fairhaven and you can also see the docks of one of the marinas there, which makes me think one evening I should head to Fairhaven to that marina and get some shots looking back towards New Bedford

and moving back further into the green field on the island, not that it was green that morning, you can see it has a good frost on it

and walking along the island a little the empty docks under a lovely warm glowing sunrise sky

Its a spot I do enjoy walking as a change from the beaches and walks I often go to, with the green fields and marinas I like the silhouettes of these bare trees in this last shot
