Well my last working week has started, and something happened today that I take as a positive omen that retiring is the right step I have chosen, the iPhone charging that I use for my phon at work and have bene using for a few years now died today and stopped charging my phone, funny it should happen just as I am about to retire and I took it as a good sign :)
After lunch today which w a healthier lunch at the deli i normally go to Salad and Chicken, the sun was shining and the temp in the owner 50s quite pleasant and since the forecast for the rest of the week is for rain I decided to take a walk and enjoy the day and revisit ne of the spots I often walk to at lunch time, a little park beside the FDR Highway and the East River, Peter Detmold Park.
This first shot is as I walking down 49th Street from/First be to the park

And walking into the park, even with the busy traffic on the FDR of tot he right i find it relaxing walking into this park, more so when the trees are not so bare of course.

And walking across the pedestrian bridge over the ark and the FDR to get to the spot that draws me to this park and gets me feeling groovy.

And interesting thingI found out about the song and the reference ot feeling groovy, apparently back in the day the NYD had confiscated a good sized amount of Weed, and Burt it somewhere near the bridge, not realizing the smoke from the fire would carry in the breeze and make many inthe area feel a bit on the groovy side.
And that’s all folks
