It was March 2018, after a long journey through Colombia and Ecuador, together with my friends, we arrived in the city of Lima, Peru. My first impression of the city was the contrast of the city from the north and the south, in the north were the suburbs and the most popular areas of Lima, many dirt streets and houses still to be finished, neighborhoods and many informal sales in the streets , but in the southern zone everything was the opposite, a cleanliness in the streets, a lot of police presence and very nice places.
Era Marzo de 2018, ya con una larga travesía por Colombia y ecuador junto a mis amigos llegamos a la ciudad de Lima Perú. Mi primera impresión de la ciudad fue el contraste de la ciudad del norte y al sur, en el norte estaban los suburbios y las zonas más populares de lima, muchas calles de tierra y casa aun por terminar, barrios y mucha venta informal en las calles, pero en la zona sur todo era lo contrario, una limpieza en las calles mucha presencia policial y lugares muy bonitos.
We arrived on a Saturday at noon, a friend received us at his house, we had to go out to find a rental and stay near the UTP university in Lima, since I was on an academic scholarship, but I had to cover my expenses for staying at the university. city due to blows of fate when I was on my way to Lima a friend contacted me and he had a job for me when I got there I was calm. That day we went out for a few beers and to get to know part of the area.
After 6pm we left for the northern part of the city because the institute was on that side. Once we had settled in some rented rooms, I began to see the distances on the phone's GPS between where I was residing at the university and at work. . Asking the people there what transport to take and what stops to get off.
Llegamos un día sábado al medio día, un amigo nos recibió en su casa teníamos que salir a buscar alquiler y que me quedara cerca de universidad de UTP de Lima, ya que yo iba becado académicamente, pero tenía que cubrir mis gastos de estadía en la ciudad por golpes del destino cuando iba camino a lima un amigo me contacto y me tenía un empleo al llegar por esa parte estaba tranquilo. Ese día salimos por unas cervezas y conocer parte de la zona.
Pasada las 6pm salimos rumbo a la zona norte de la ciudad porque hacia ese lado quedaba el instituto, una vez ya instalados en unos cuartos de alquiler, empecé a ver las distancias en el gps del teléfono entre la donde estaba residenciado la universidad y el trabajo. Preguntando a las personas de ahí que transporte tomar y que paradas bajarme.

Every day I walked a long bridge from the bus stop to my job. Place where I fit in well because my co-workers were very fun and friendly, I never thought they would be so receptive to me.
Llegado el día lunes comenzaba mi experiencia inca, vivía en una zona popular de la ciudad hacia el lado norte, algo no muy bonito, clima gris, mucha tierra y las personas eran muy calladas. Todos los días caminaba un largo puente desde la parada del bus hasta llegar a mi empleo. Lugar donde me adapte bien porque mis compañeros de trabajo era muy divertidos y amigables, jamás pensé que tendrían esa receptividad conmigo.
The gastronomy in Peru is very wide, you can eat from tamales, rice to anticuchos but what I liked the most was the ceviche, a true exquisiteness its flavors its fresh ingredients everything in general brought from the sea they prepared it with love that you stay with it flavor and take it with you.
La gastronomía en Peru es un muy amplia, puede comer desde tamales, arroz hasta anticuchos pero lo que más me gusto fue el ceviche, una verdadera exquisitez sus sabores sus ingredientes frescos todo en general traído del mar lo preparaban con amor que te quedas con el sabor y te lo llevas contigo.
After a month the city and a little more adapted to its food, its transportation and its people, some holidays arrived and I decided to meet up with my friends and tour the southern part of the city, towards Miraflores and its views. Upon arrival I was shocked, it is the opposite to the north you can find many tourists from different countries, all very clean, beautiful and colorful. We arrived at the viewpoint and the view is epic and transmits a peace that is indescribable. I fell in love with this part of the city where I managed to capture several photos with my cell phone.
Después de un mes la ciudad y un poco más adaptado a su comida, su transporte y su gente llegaron unos días feriados y decidí reunirme con mis amigos y recorrer la zona sur de la ciudad, hacia Miraflores y sus vistas. Al llegar quede impactado es todo lo contrario al norte puedes encontrar muchos turistas de diferentes países, todo muy limpio lindo y colorido. Llegamos al mirador y la vista es épica y transmite una paz que es indescriptible quede enamorado de esta parte de la ciudad donde logre captar varias fotos con mi teléfono celular.
I spent 8 months in Lima until I returned, I finished my postgraduate degree and I came leaving friends who became family, I got to know their different cultures and customs. It was a journey to learn because like everything in life it has its good moments and its bad moments. To this day I keep my Peruvian friends and I hope one day to go back and visit them.
Pase 8 meses en Lima hasta volver, culmine el postgrado y me vine dejando amigos que se convirtieron en familia, conocí su cultura y costumbres diferentes. Fue un viaje para aprender porque como todo en la vida tiene sus momentos buenos y sus momentos malos. Hasta el día de hoy conservo mis amistades peruanos y espero algún día volver a ir y visitarlos.
