Not sure what is odd about it. It has no use case other transferring value back and forth. That is all Bitcoin started out as. The fact that DOGE was a joke to start makes it look a bit ridiculous in hindsight but it is just another Bitcoin.

Certainly the attention BTC has is giving it SOV. However, I find it ironic that crypto people rip on DOGE saying it has no use case or intrinsic value when that is what traditional people say about BTC.
