The fact of the matter is the markets have not cared about the politics since the last election.

Throughout the entire impeachment process, the markets were not swayed at all. The prospect of Trump being removed did not bother the market since it knew his policies were safe.

Now, the market knows it is going to get plenty of free money. The Fed is going to keep easing since it has no choice. As for Congress, whomever is in the White House is going to sign whatever spending bill comes across his desk.

Thus, the market knows it has a backstop.
