The primary investment vehicle, at the moment, is leasing out SP on a platform such as Dlease. This provides a stream of Steem coming back into the account. There is also a small off chain investment in BTC.

I see the value it brings to STEEM is that it is an investment club that is priced in STEEM and is soaking up STEEM. All STEEM acquired (well 99% since there is a small portion in savings) are powered up. Instead of it exiting the system, it remains on the platform in the form of SP.
