D.Tube is taking an interesting approach. With their last update, they announced they are operating on their own blockchain along with pushing posts through to Steem.
All upvotes are part of the curation pool since there is, no rewards for "content creators" in terms of the DTC. This means that posting any content from the internet that one finds interesting is encouraged.
This could make D.Tube a very attractive alternative to the centralized video platforms.
