Tourism in your country
Every country has an inflow of tourists every year, even though it's only a little. Tell us about the place that is worth visiting in your country. And if your country has a bubbling tourist destination or not.
What is tourism
Tourism is a traveling activity that people do for fun, business, or pleasure. These activities include sightseeing popular tourist attractions playing games, making new friends, and immersion of one's self into a culture different from theirs. Countries use tourism as a means of improving their economy.
The amazing places to visit in my country when taking a tour include:
Ibeno beach
Let's talk a bit about the amazing beach which is the "ibeno beach"
Ibeno beach with a mind-blowing stretch of over 40 kilometers of sand bank transverse many riverine communities, along the Atlantic coastline of akwa-ibom. It's a beautiful tourist site for lovers of fun to unwind. The beach is rated high among the top soothing and clean beaches in the country, it is situated in ibeno local government area in akwa-ibom state.
It is also believed that the area was first occupied around 1200-1500 BC by ibeno indigenous people and also it was the landing site of the qua ibo Christian mission from Scotland which was one of the most successful Christian missions in Nigeria in the early 20th century.
Its features and facilities include:
- Boat riding
- Canoeing
- Water sport
- Beach soccer.
The agbokim waterfall
Are you a Nigeria or from any part of the world and you've not visited Calabar? I think you should visit Calabar. Reasons are?
Calabar is known as "Nigeria's Disney" I've heard that severally. When it comes to tourism and hospitality Calabar possesses everything you're looking for.
The Calabar carnival, abudu cattle ranch, and the amazing, amazing agbokim waterfall are among the most prized possessions of the state. The agbokim waterfall is regarded as the seven wonders of nature because of the seven streams from which the water flows. It sits comfortably in etung local government area in cross river state and it is also in proximity to Nigeria-Cameroon borders.
Its features and facilities include:
- Cable car ride
- Outdoor games
- Mountain race
- Canopy walk
I believe the best time to visit this place is during the December festive period so the fun will be complete.
Lastly, the tourism industry in Nigeria is something that we need to work on to promote as we have many tourist attraction sites if properly planned.
