Setting Suns
Once rose dreams of a forever home,
A place head can lay and heart can rest.
Comfort from cold where gardens bloom,
Protected from long past brokenness.
Dancing across forest brimmed lakes
Arise it did with beauty and grace,
Petals fell and dried upon the floor,
With only thorns left in their place.
Home is a simple choice to make,
Complication is for the confused.
Walls are not the bricks it takes,
Home is with someone you choose.
Days come and bleed into the night,
And the night bleeds back into the day.
Sunrise or sunset is much the same,
What is home when you cannot stay.
