I sure could have used you back in my early days here, and could very well have left generic comments just to see what would happen.
It definitely makes a difference early on when people support, but it isn't easy. It is also worse when people are only willing to comment on those who have stake. They want support for their country, but don't support anyone from their country.
You are right about the regurgitation, and the internet has made it significantly worse. Everything is a share of something else - very little original thought in the process required.
the other similar comment got a punishing remark and a downvote.
People don't seem to realise that relationships are built here too. Perhaps it is because on other media similar, everyone is a stranger at all times.
