After a little bit of waiting while it sorts itself out, we are here and #Hiveisalive!
It is an exciting time to be here and everyone that has been ported over will be the First Generation of the Hive colony, founders of and contributors to the future. This is an opportunity that very few have ever had before, don't squander it - learn what you need to learn, work toward where you want to be.
None of this has been easy for anyone and the work is not done yet. There is going to be a lot of fallout during the transition and tempers are likely to flare, but try to remember one thing, we are all human and we are all doing the best we can under what for many, is trying conditions.
New day, new dawn, new Hive.
We are making history here with an entire community's history cloned, connections intact and applications ready to service already up and running. Rome wasn't built in a day, but Hive was - an entire digital city born in moments.
I think there is something beautiful about that and it carries with it a warning for the future. The days of the centralized internet are diminishing and with every new block number produced, they lose a fraction more control. Eventually, all individuals will have the freedom of choice, including the mobility of economy, something only available to a select few currently in the world.
A place to write, a place to interact, a place to experience and learn, a place that has the potential to add to my future, a place to call home. I am hoping that Hive can be these things and many other for me and in time, millions of others who choose to participate in the movement toward a better world for all of us.
