Eternity can feel like a moment where so much time has passed yet there has been no distance between. This is how I feel sometimes with my wife as there has been years between our first dance until now yet in my eyes, nothing has changed, but so much has.

Things always change of course as it is impossible to keep anything the same indefinitely. Life marches on regardless of how one wants it to go, experience provides wounds that no time can ever truly heal, just scar tissue built up in the memory.

A great deal of our time is spent waiting for something to happen to us or for us but time does not care enough to slow, if anything, it speeds up when we don't want it to to burn the space between here and there. And sooner rather than later, we are wondering where it all went as the waiting seemed to take forever.

Along the way we see a lot, live a lot but what was important to do at the time, fades into obscurity and what seemed trivial, becomes cherished. There is a lot of beauty we pass while looking for beauty in the distance, in a future that may never arrive.

It is not the perfect experience or the sharp photo that makes a life, it is the blur. The moments that come and go so fast that if one is not careful, they will be missed entirely and what has real value, never gets noticed. It floats through life's stream and consciousness fails to reach it with its net.

Yes, things change and once changed, they can never be revisited purely, they are gone with the moment. All experiences can only ever be observed once so it is best to invest in the moment they live. The moment we are always in.

Change however is just change, it has no preferences. It is us who apply good and bad.
