9 months in the making and a DTube first

I love watching my beautiful wife change and create our daughter within. The human body is an amazing thing and the female side is even more so. the last images of my wife holding our daughter were taken almost a year ago to the day. We had just spent the last 12 days waiting anxiously in the intensive care unit so our daughter could balance her blood sugar. They were difficult days, and very, very valuable to her parents.

As much as it would have been simpler and easier to just bring her home like 'normal', I think the beginning we had made us appreciate our little family even more, if that is even possible. I will not say that it was an easy experience and I do not wish it on any parent as it can be gut wrenching.

The morning after her birth, also our first wedding anniversary, I received a call that our daughter was being rushed to intensive care as her blood sugar was extremely low which can cause brain damage if low enough. Luckily, it was discovered in time but it took a while to normalize enough for us to bring her home.

We learned a lot about ourselves in those 12 days.
