In Frontier, I find Water and Earth the strongest, Fire and Death equally next, SO if you are building a deck I'd focus on Water first then Earth.

You will see many of the common strategies as you play opponents, I find the best way to learn is to look at a game you lost, replay it and try to see what was it in your opponents strategy/lineup/cards that was key to their victory. It may not be a specific card, it may be a general strategy, but some times it's a key card, or a combination of both
