I don't know if it was my favorite childhood song, but I sang it quite often, and that was a song called "Bloemetje daar buiten, wat sta jij daar zo fijn" (English: Little flower outside, how refined you are). This children's song teaches how flowers need both rain and sunlight to survive and I always made the analogy of children (people) needing both rainy and sunny days to grow in life.

And I used to enjoy those ring candies... Don't see them anymore in stores here. Brings back memories 😊.
