I was in Spain a couple of years ago, it was both a business and a pleasure trip, because I did a lot of touristic activities (that I will tell you about in another post) and I also went there because there was a Psychoanalysis Symposium happening in Madrid.
I was very lucky to attend that series of conferences with my mom, my dad, my sister and some friends because we are all psychoanalists, and this was a very big deal on our field.
Roland Chemama is a very well respected psychoanalist who studied in Paris, France and is an eminence when it comes to Lacanian Psychoanalysis - which is the branch me and my circle are specialized in -, and he was president of the International Lacanian Association and the European Psychoanalysis Foundation, so he is very big deal as you can see.
I'm not in love, but almost 馃槢
Well, when we were there during one of the conference breaks I stumbled upon him and we spoke for a while and, after that, he even took a photo with me!
Besides getting to meet Roland Chemama, I was also able to meet Gerard Pommier who is also a respected entity in the psychoanalysis world. He is a former patient and student of Jacques Lacan, the father of the modern psychoanalysis, so he is also a big deal.
Both are still alive and perhaps they don't even remember my name but to me, this was an unforgettable moment that I will cherish forever.
