Hello my Steemians friends, today I would like to share with you another lesson I have learned from the book “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek.

Well it is undeniable that a leader of a company is trying to find the best candidates so that they can work well and produce better results while a school director may always want to hire best teachers to teach. It is believed that the best staffs always have greater ideas and plans. When those best staffs are hired, those leaders can just tell them “to work on it” or “ make it better” , since they are already potential. This approach is classic manipulation which actually works but won’t last long. Those leaders focus and start with “What” because when the staffs are told to make something better, they focus only on the “ What” , the features until they forget their purposes of making it. Sometimes they just pay attention on the “What” without a clear “ Why”. The results might be good, but customers won’t be loyal to the company.

The innovative organizations give their people something to work towards instead of limiting their creativities, meaning that a good leader knows exactly how to lead and has complete belief in their team members. A good leader is fully aware of the potential of his or her members and believes that they can always produce better results when providing correct guidance. Those leaders always start with why. Instead of telling their staffs to “ Make it Better”, they told their members the “ Why” and let them figure out ways to achieve the goals by themselves. This will make them feel more confident and more innovative in a way that they can come up with more efficient plans and ideas. And their initiations, with a sense of why in them, will make more loyal customers just like Apple company.
