Going to Queen Sirikit Park is very pleasant for many people, including me. The park is beautiful in its own way with an abundance of natural scenery.
Among the highlights are flower gardens with various kinds of species. And among the beautiful flowers, Dok Bua Din is one of my favorites.
Dok Bua Din is the Thai language or you may know as Pink Rain Lily in the English language.
Dok means flower
Bua means lotus
Din means earth
I think it’s because this flower looks like lotus, but it grows on earth, not in the water. That's why we call it Dok Bua Din. (This is just my opinion...I don't know the real reason...)
Dok Bua Din is an ordinary flowering plant, but it's incredibly cute and cheerful with a sweet pink color. Especially when the sun is shining brightly on the flowers.
It’s unfortunate that I found only a few flowers in the garden. But, I can imagine if there are plenty of these flowers, the garden sure looks much more wonderful.
