The protea is South Africa s national flower and start blooming in the WesternnCape during the winter months. We went for a Sunday hike in the beautiful Hottentots Holland mountains and I took this photo

I m definately very happy with my choice of colours. I was sceptic at first but the background is stunning and the purple bronze and burnt sienna are great together. Thanks for following and please upvote.

Who am I
I do love the yellow background. It is playful and modern. The purple in my shadow colour does compliment the yellow and the metallic bronze is a very good colour to mix into both. Steepshot IPFS IOS Android

Dark vs light values
Step three: using black paint I very quickly paint in the darkest dark and a lighter shade of black(watered down) for a middle value. The yellow is the lighter areas. So on to the colour stage. Steepshot

Not so 100% sure of my color choices. But it is definately colourful. Ive used acrylics and for the first time experimented with craft acrylic paints. Fantastic pigments and wonderful strong colours.
