Today we were playing a very coll game with my son!
Our unschooling Maths touches Numbers and Sums now, and how we can create this or that number.
We tried many variants to train this topic, and Domino appeared to be one of the most interesting!
Do you have Domino at home? Then try this game, and your kid will like it for sure!
At first we write numbers from 2 till 10
Then we give a kid a puzzle:
Find all variants how you can make 2 using domino,
and he has to guess that 2 is combination of
2+0, or 1+1,
and we have such domino pieces!
He must put them on the paper and write numbers he has chosen
Then he makes the same with other numbers
At first he makes it slowly, then in the middle he is super fast, and he really counts all numbers fast making necessary sums!
Difficulties occur after 6, because we have no domino with 7 in one half of it. But it wasn't a big problem for us.
We wrote these numbers in the paper, but we create examples only with numbers from 0 to 6.
The game took about 20-25 minutes, and it was time of fun, not boring counting馃槏
