One more example that the best and the most useful kids games are cheap and easy, and parents don't need to follow ads and buy market propositions for crazy prices.
I am always very attentive in buying toys because they cost much now, but it's not the main problem. The worse is that most of them are absolutely useless.
I don't like games for 1 time - a kid plays with it just once and that's it! - no interest any more because it's boring and primitive.
Some years ago I found these magic cubes somewhere in a cheap kids internet shop. I liked them at once because it was something unique. They cost just 3-4$ and I felt they were worth much more.
So we have them for about 3 years now, and they are still interesting for my boy. Their idea is hyst wonderful
Look - just cubes with different colours.
But in fact we can create dozens of pictures from them, and there is a book that shows some examples for kids.
The game has different levels of complexity, and the kids can play it from 2-3 till 7-8 years.
btw these last levels are really complicated! even I had to think well before I could get how to create these pictures;)
Fine for 3$, yeah?
My boy started with the easiest levels, now he moved to more complicated ones. Moreover, he knows letters now and even started reading, so he is interested in creating letters too.
My son has created letter "P" in Russian:)
Btw there are English letters there too, soon I plan to start English with him:)
Endless ideas can be realized with this game!
And even if we have no ready made game of this kind in the shops, it's easy to remake any other cubes by this example.
