Each of us has favorite clothes. I am always very sorry when such clothes come to an end - they completely wear out. I try to repair it while I can, but everything comes to an end, alas 馃檨 This happened with my favorite warm bathrobe 馃槬
See how bright and cheerful this dressing gown is. He served me for over 15 years! I'm sorry to throw this away 馃槶 And then I came up with the idea to transform it into... pillowcases for sofa cushions (you know that I am a great specialist in sewing pillowcases 馃槀馃槄)
Our sofa cushions are small so I thought I could do it. As usual, I took a ready-made pillowcase as a pattern.
The bottom of the robe is already processed and I decided that this part is good to use for the top of the pillowcase. Where are my faithful pins with multi-colored heads?! 馃榾
Sizes are marked and can be cut (I'm crying!!!!) 馃槶馃槶馃槶
That's it, I no longer have this bathrobe, but there is a blank for a warm winter pillowcase.
Don't forget to turn it inside out (I might forget that!!!馃榿) and sew on the sewing machine.
I thought that my sewing machine would not be able to sew in places where the fabric is folded, because this fabric is dense. But to my surprise, my sewing machine did just fine. Now you need to put a pillowcase on a pillow and see what happens.
Looks very cute! I like it! 馃榾馃槉 Now let's turn the pillow over and see how it turned out on the other side.
Here, too, everything fits well; I plan to sew on buttons here. So, the first pillowcase turned out very well. But with the second one, it will not be so easy for me, since the fabric of the dressing gown is not enough 馃槒 I'll have to think hard about this 馃檮
