What do you think about the smell of freshly cut trees? And if these trees are pines ?!
I always liked to walk in a pine forest, but the smell of a freshly cut tree - especially wonderful.
The fact of the matter is that the freshly cut tree gives off resin. The aroma of such resins is very strong, can even cause headaches indoors but not in the fresh air. A little rest on such a log and useful and nice :)
